Take a look at a photo report from a seminar at the Faculty of Architecture of Warsaw University of Technology using Quadralite lights.

For many participants it was their first experience with studio photography. Continuous light has a major advantage for beginners: the final distribution of light and contrast can be seen before the shutter is released.

The seminar allowed students to choose different studio subjects, making it possible to test the lights across varied scenarios. With 18 cm reflectors the lamps produced a strong, focused beam for contrasty images; a Fresnel attachment narrowed it further.

For soft high-key images we used two VideoLED 1000 and one VideoLED 600 with large softboxes and double diffusion.

Continuous light also made it easier to experiment with reflections, translucent materials and precise positioning of highlights.

Different setups demonstrated how a small change in modifier, distance or angle can completely alter the character of a photograph.
